Our Work In Bangladesh

Evidence by topic

EdTech Hub develops and delivers evidence in EdTech. We work in partnership with researchers and stakeholders in-country to find specific, effective solutions to education challenges.

One of the most densely populated countries in the world, Bangladesh has made impressive strides in improving access to education.

The government remains committed to improving the quality of education and applying Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in all spheres of public life to build a ‘Digital Bangladesh’.

The Ministry of Education’s Master Plan for ICT in Education in Bangladesh 2012–2021 seeks to revolutionise the education system through the use of ICT and promoting technology-based teaching and learning.

In 2022, with the ongoing pandemic and intermittent school closures, the importance of digitalisation and tech-enabled blended learning remain paramount.

Within this context, EdTech Hub in Bangladesh is committed to explore opportunities to generate evidence for technology-enabled education in Bangladesh and to work together with ecosystem stakeholders for evidence uptake, to ensure all children experience quality learning opportunities, not just some. Discover our Helpdesk

EdTech Hub supports education decision-makers to incorporate the latest globally informed, locally relevant knowledge and evidence into choices related to EdTech.

FCDO Education Advisers, World Bank staff and UNICEF staff who work closely with ministries of education in low- and middle-income countries can request and receive short-term, discrete support from the EdTech Hub Helpdesk.

We work with requesters to support the “what” and “how” of EdTech-enabled approaches. We seek approaches that are evidence-based, contextually appropriate, realistic to implement, and cost-effective.

If you can’t submit a Helpdesk request, you can still get answers. We’ve summarised the findings from previous Helpdesk requests for you to explore.
