Bio
I’m a Director of Research at the EdTech Hub, helping to ensure we build rigorous evidence that can have a long-term impact on education policy and practice. I coordinate research activities, lead the learners theme, and manage the Jigsaw-based team. I got hooked on this work while doing a PhD on evaluating the impact of technology on primary education in Africa (from a Geography department—ask me why!).
I completed this in 2010, established Jigsaw, and have spent the last decade leading education research studies in over 20 countries. I strongly believe that high-quality, accessible research can make a positive difference in the world, enjoy helping social impact organisations maximise their effectiveness, and serve on the boards of Refugee Support Network and Justice Defenders.
