Bio
I am a Senior Lecturer in Digital Education at the University of Manchester (Manchester Institute of Education), where my research explores the role of digital technology in shaping the future of education—particularly how it can enable new models of learning, address educational disadvantage, and support dialogue and communication. I have expertise in research synthesis and design-based research methods. I completed my PhD in Computer Science in 2013, and between 2013 and 2021, I worked as a Senior Research Associate at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Education, where I was also Principal Researcher for the Cambridge Digital Education Futures Initiative (DEFI). I am currently an Editor of the British Journal of Educational Technology.
